Computer classes and training as a PC Specialist can help you access new career opportunities. A PC Specialist typically provides a variety of office support to a wide range of organizations. PC Specialists typically coordinate a multitude of duties including administrative, front desk services, customer service, travel arrangements, maintaining a calendar of events, purchasing supplies, greeting visitors, coordinating office luncheons, creating documents and spreadsheets, updating electronic databases, creating and following up on emails, accounting department support including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll administration, as well as supporting various departments with their specific needs.
A career as a PC Specialist can often lead to future opportunities, especially since many PC Specialists interface with many different levels of employees from general staff to leadership and executives. CTI can help students attain a wide range of skills needed for various PC Specialist support jobs. CTI offers two comprehensive programs organized into 720 clock hours and 36 quarter credits:
- PC Specialist Plus – Generalist Specialization
- PC Specialist Plus – Bookkeeping Specialization
Each of these programs, which are 36 quarter credits in length, are delivered in 16 Modules. Modules consist of 45 clock hours and 2.25 quarter credits. Students are scheduled to complete a Module every two weeks for day courses and every three weeks for evening courses. Students in these programs complete training in 32 weeks attending the day session or 48 weeks attending the evening session.
CTI’s PC Specialist Plus-Generalist Specialization Program is also offered online nationwide (except California). CTI’s online educational programs include 24/7 access to our innovative web-based virtual classroom in which students enter their online classroom from anywhere there is internet access. All course material is in one centralized location and can be viewed at any time and not just during your scheduled training. Included in our online Learning Management System (LMS), are electronic books, a multitude of videos, and a variety of other learning resources. Most importantly students experience regular and substantive interaction with your Instructors via discussion boards, online lectures, phone, email, text, and the LMS.
