However, our Help Desk Professional Training Program provides more than just technical knowledge in networking, operating systems, computer repair and hard disk management. We teach and train our students how to manage customer expectations, so they are able to offer guidance and practical advice with professionalism and poise.

In today’s technology-driven work environment, help desk professionals often face the challenge of interacting with distressed, confused, frustrated and often irritated individuals who need assistance. Plus, those who seek expert help by phone, chat or email are often in a hurry to solve their problem. Being a help desk professional can be a challenge without proper training.

Computer Training

CTI’s Help Desk Professional Training Program will teach students to refine their people skills by learning how to put people at ease, actively listen, build rapport, stay positive and remain focused. It will also enhance best-practices, business communication skills by teaching students email etiquette, problem-solving and how to write clear, accurate email responses and follow-up reports.

Students who attend the program need little or no prior experience with computers. CTI staff provide an energetic and positive learning environment that makes learning even the most challenging courses an enjoyable experience. Most students complete this program in approximately 26 weeks attending day sessions or 39 weeks attending evening sessions.

CTI’s Help Desk Professional Training Program also offers online courses nationwide (except California) that enable students to take surveys, quizzes and tests and send and receive course mail through a web portal. They can also post messages to threaded discussions and chat rooms and upload assignments using online drop boxes. Students who take this online program will have 24/7 access to all courseware and eBooks.

Students finish the Help Desk Professional Training Program with technological expertise, a renewed sense of purpose, better listening skills, verbal skills, patience, poise and practical strategies for dealing with help desk issues.
